Sliders - not your ordinary burger

A new Burger joint / Breakfast Diner has emerged on the Queensway stretch just east of Royal York. Don't let the box seat view of the House of Lancancaster throw you off, this is a family friendly fast food eatery (although window seats may come at a premium during shift changes at theinfamous gentleman's club...). Junior and I popped in for an inauguaral visit and shared a classic cheeseburger, fries and drink combo. Fries are fresh cut, hot and crispy - the cheeseburger was divine and desrves the "homeburger" moniker that Sliders attaches to it. The menu offers an interesting range of well known sandwiches (philly steak, chicken breast,
back bacon etc.) aswell as mouthwatering breakfast suggestions and old fashioned milkshakes. Ambience was fresh, clean and modern with lively colours, television and tunes. It's a start up family run endeavour headed up by proprietor, Dino Petsopoulous. Keeping pace on the crowded Queensway burger scene can most assuredly be a grind (although not quite the same
"grind" as their cross-street neighbours) but Sliders has the right elements in place to distinguish itself - let's see how it goes. I'll be returning - let us know what you think.

I have been to Sliders numerous times this past week, trying the many different burgers in which they offer. Sliders has created a menu in which each burger has a very unique taste and offering. Their breakfast was very homely and a wonderful change from other restaurants in the area. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I recommend Sliders to anyone who wants to experience what burgers tasted like before the invention of the “fast food burger chain”

What a great concept. They took some time to make it, but worth the wait. While waiting they brought us some free soup to try, trust me it was not out of a can, really nice. The sliders and the chicken souvlaki were really really good. We also ordered a Greek salad and a garden salad. The cook actually came out to ask us if we enjoyed our meal. We're taking the family for breakfast on Saturday. If the kids love it we love it.

After only one visit i will say i am intrigued. However, the sliders were oversized and overcooked, the fries cold, and the service was, to say the least, weak. The young lad taking the orders was a mumbler and some patrons were left waiting on forgotten orders. The ambience of the joint was nice but the tables were wobbly and unbalanced. The menu beckons me for another visit if only for the gyros and tzaziki. Leave the poutine to the pros Nicos...

I had a fantastic experience at Sliders. The burgers were great I had the black and blue it was very good. The fries were great and they gave me a free soup that tasted homemade. All and all I will go back.

What a fabulous addition to the neighbourhood. I'm never going anywhere else for a burger. Everything is fresh and tasty. The fresh-cut fries are the way fries should be. The restaurant is spotlessly clean; service is friendly and accommodating. And it's licensed too.

Love the burgers here!! So fresh & juicy. The service was friendly and I go there at least once a month now. Still haven't tried the breakfast, but I certainly intend on going by in the am in the near future.
