Emerald Inn Pub Kingsway
Had to grab a quick bite on the run - decided to 'roll the dice' and try the Emerald Inn Irish Pub on Bloor by Montgomery - Snake eyes! I'm sure this is a fine establishment for late evening guitar strumming entertainment and spoken word poetry (I will return to experience this) but not a master of culinary treats by any means. Clubhouse sandwich was off the mark - food service a bit disjointed although the waitress was very nice. A handful of other patrons were sipping beer and spirits but none were eating... hmmmm?... Prices weren't ridiculous but value is a factor.

It's a pub Bob, you go there to drink, not for "culinary treats"....
i agree, never counted on the ole emerald inn to satisfy me when i have a hunger on. but an ok place to quench your thirst. keep up the good work!
Pubs are ment for food generall as well...
All british pubs, originally, served food just as much as booze, and providing lodging, hence 'Inn' in all sorts of pub names.
The new bartender at Emerald Inn is foxy, yum, newfoundland.
it just change the owner 3 weeks ago and the chef there used to work 3 hotels in toronto downtown and the taste , presentation of his dishes is quite well
The new owner of the Emerald is a lovely fellow and he has some great new plans for the pub. Keep checking in to find out the latest updates. When he gets his feet wet, he will do great things.
Thanks for the reminder Longtime Customer, I've been meaning to return to the Emerald Inn to try the new experience
Looking forward to a follow on review

When I heard that the emerald in is under new management I went by to check it out......I went with my wife on a saturday night and there was a jazz band playing.....wonderfull night, I even had time to chat with the new owner and his step son. Both were very very nice people with a good sense of humor. Keep up the good work Guy & Mike !
